Exceeding the speed limit - out of town
When determining the speed limit outside built-up areas, a 3% tolerance is deducted from the measured speed. At speeds below 100 km / h, 3 km / h will be deducted.

Over speeding - urban

New catalog of fines
On July 9th, 2020, the transport ministries of the federal states agreed not to apply the stricter rules from the new catalog of fines due to a formal error until further notice. NRW has announced that it will return to the old regulations (see above).
Speeding during the trial period
- If the speed is exceeded by more than 20 km / h, there is an A violation, after which the trial period is extended to 4 years and an advanced seminar must be attended
- if there are three A violations, the driver's license will be withdrawn
Measuring device
Basically, a distinction can be made between speed measurements using radar systems and laser measuring devices and measurements using induction loops. For a usable measurement, the measuring device must be used according to the manufacturer's operating instructions. In addition, the measuring device must have been calibrated and the measuring officers trained.
